The CygNet Help document explains the breadth and complexity of CygNet products in great detail, however questions or circumstances not covered in the Help document can still arise. The following resources provide additional avenues to help you use and make the most of your CygNet Software product, including source file, online, phone, and email access.

CygNet Release Documents

Each version of CygNet includes the following release documents, which contain additional information about the current release.

CygNet Bridge Installation Guide — instructions for installing CygNet Bridge, CygNet Bridge API, CygNet Dispatch, and CygNet Mobile. This document provides the same content as is available in the main CygNet Help in PDF format.
CygNet OPC UA Server User's Guide — instructions for installing, configuring, and using the CygNet OPC UA Server. This document provides the same content as is available in the main CygNet Help in PDF format.

Download the CygNet v9.8 Memory and Disk Calculator:

CygNet v9.8 Memory and Disk Calculator — an Excel calculator is provided to help estimate memory and disk space requirements for a typical CygNet system. CygNet configuration settings such as data retention settings, database disk caching settings, logging settings, and backup strategies will also affect the amount of disk space required for your CygNet system.

CygNet .NET API Help

The CygNet API Help is a Microsoft Help file (CygNet.API.chm) describing the CygNet .NET APIs.

The CygNet API Help is included with the CygNet product, in the /Bin folder.

CygNet Bridge API Help Page

CygNet Bridge API generates web-accessible user documents using an auto-generated interactive documentation library tool. On a deployed API system these documents provide up-to-date information to help developers with API usage including example requests / responses and details about each request. The built-in online help will deploy automatically when you install the new APIs.

Navigate to localhost/CygNet/Help to access the help documents after CygNet Bridge is installed.

Note: If you have installed CygNet Bridge with HTTPS (strongly recommended), navigate to https://[YourWebHostName]/CygNet/Help.

CygNet Bridge API Help Offline

An offline version of the CygNet Bridge API Help is provided within the CygNet Help as a reference tool. See the CygNet Bridge API Help Page.

CygNet Bridge API Sample Web Application

The CygNet Bridge API comes with a sample web application providing source code that demonstrates using the API to retrieve data from your CygNet system. The sample application source code is located in the CygNet Bridge product in the BridgeAPISampleApp/sample folder. The source code is for an Angular web application and needs to be compiled first in order to run it in a web browser.
